WIND
I had to shut down early last night due to wind and will be having tonight off for the same reason, 25mph winds are not conducive for much other than catching leaves.
I forgot to mention that a few nights ago I had another insanely busy night of Saw-whet banding, ending the night with 166 Saw-whets and two Long-eared Owls. When things get that busy I tend to lose all interest in preserving my hands and allow them to become Saw-whet talon cushions.
