Pigs in the city

Amanda and I made it to California in two days from MN. It was about 30 hours and had no troubles until we hit Donner Pass, where there was a good amount of snow and I had my first experience with chains. So fun.

I've spent the last couple of days staying with Kanolanemmaclare in Oakland and will be heading up to Point Reyes tomorrow to check out my new job.

Here are a couple of videos from today at Lake Merritt where there were an absurd number of pigeons. In the second video, if you look carefully, you can see a cooper's hawk dive into the flock of flying pigeons, miss, and fly to the right.
