Good Though

So, yes, we did make the trek to attempt to find some quetzals while up in the mountains. And it was successful, we did see a quetzal, but disappointingly no males were seen. But, while seeing the long-tailed fancy man-version of the quetzal was a priority, I think we were lucky enough see the female considering the weather. The on and off rain and thick fog added to the mysteriousness of the birds, but it did not make for great viewing. Alas. We might go back, and regardless we saw eight or new species despite this spot only being 6 km from our banding sites.
