GHKilla
Near the Fish Docks out on the point I was puzzled to find a dead Red-tailed Hawk hanging in a nearby Cypress, until I found this bird.
I mean, look at those talons.

Never have I ever
I don't know that I've ever consciously taken a picture of a female California Quail, but here's one. I think she's pretty, though a bit soggy. She was running around with 10 or 12 golf ball sized babies yesterday afternoon at Dogtown.

Other RECR birds
The same day we caught the Ovenbird we had this Pygmy Nuthatch, a resident species that PRBO had only caught ten of previously.
For some reason we were also catching far more adult male Allen's Hummingbirds than usual, with six for the day I believe.

Ovenbird?
Yes, Ovenbird. We caught this bird at Redwood Creek today during a somewhat misty banding day. This is an Eastern warbler, which is very lost. Makes you realize how many vagrants are around, but never seen.

Outer Point
I ventured out to the outer point today in hopes of finding the Magnolia Warbler, Ovenbird, Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, etc reported over the last few days. Though none of these birds showed themselves, I finally saw one of the Rock Wrens that have been singing continuously all spring by the lighthouse, as well as my first American Redstart of the year.
This Gray Fox was also there, getting harassed by nesting Barn Swallows.
